Created in 1987 and recognised as a public utility on 11 February 1992, the Abbé Pierre Foundation works to enable all disadvantaged people to have access to decent housing and a decent life. As a guarantor of the values of solidarity and fraternity promoted by Abbé Pierre, the Foundation has been pursuing its fight for over 30 years. It is a member of the Charter of Trusted Donation Committee.

Listening, guidance, integration, expertise, financial and/or administrative assistance, and integration are all actions that it supports when it comes to promoting access to and maintenance of decent housing for those who are excluded, thus forming a real chain of solidarity with all its partners throughout France, but also abroad, in 32 countries (Latin America & the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia).

The housing crisis, which excludes the poorest and most precarious, is now affecting the middle classes. The 9 regional agencies of the Fondation Abbé Pierre are in close contact with the needs of people experiencing inadequate housing and support numerous local players.

Solifap: Created by the Fondation Abbé Pierre, Solifap, a solidarity investment company, fights against poor housing by mobilising solidarity finance to increase the supply of housing for disadvantaged people.
